Girl Scouts - Did you do a service project? Do you have a sponsor?

Leaders,

 

1.         In reviewing the annual troop reports, we have found that many of you did not list any service projects on the report.  So we need to ask you to review your accomplishments again just to be sure. 

 

            Did your troop assist with another troop? 

Did you collect pop tabs? 

Did you make cards/tray favors or visit a nursing home? 

Did you pick up trash/clean up the playground or plant flowers?

 

These and lots of other small gestures are service projects – please email with your troop number and project, if they are not included on your annual report

 

2,         Many troops did not list a sponsor – It is important to the neighborhood that each troop have at least one sponsor.  So please think about a person/company/institution that helped your troop.

           

            Did you have a cookie booth?  That location is a sponsor.

            Did  a group/organization/company donate cash or supplies to your troop?  They would be a sponsor.

            Did you have a guest speaker at a troop meeting?  That person is a sponsor.

 

            Again, please email me with your troop number and the sponsor name – you don’t need to complete the paperwork

 

Please respond as quickly as possible – we need to submit these additions to Council by Monday, June 16^th.
