Two important things!
1) There is still room to sign up for the Beach Party Dance. Friday, January 22 from 6 - 8 pm at North Rockford Middle School. What could be better than a beach party on a day like today! Please sign up at the North Rockford Middle School drop box or at Beth Reedy's house. NOTE: Beth's email is currently down. Call her! If you sent her something, you need to call and confirm she got it.
2) Are you planning on selling cookies? Cookie training will be on Monday, January 11 at 7:00 pm at Rockford United Methodist Church IF AND ONLY IF WE GET ANOTHER COOKIE MANAGER. IF WE DON'T GET ANOTHER MANAGER, OUR SERVICE UNIT MAY OPT TO NOT SELL COOKIES! Jen Shook has graciously agreed to be a co-manager and has attended training. Sales start January 23.
However, this job needs more than one person. It is not fair to expect Jen to do this alone. If your troop is depending on cookie money, if your girls want to sell, if you have parents asking about sales, you know how important cookie sales are to Girl Scouts. If cookie sales help your troop, we need help from you. We NEED another volunteer from the Service Unit to make that commitment.
You do not have to be a leader. Maybe your cookie mom can set up to doing it for the Service Unit. Maybe your spouse/co-worker/neighbor is organized and good with people. Please contact me ASAP. If we get another manager, we can also offer an additional training time if Monday, Jan 11 does not work for you.
