Daddy Daughter Cake off!
Sunday April 25th from 2 pm-4 pm at the OLC Family Center
For Daisy, Brownie, Junior, & Cadettes
Theme: The Girl Scout Garden

Note that this event is not like previous years. Read further! Girl scouts bring your favorite male companion, dad, uncle, grandpa, big brother etc for an afternoon of cake decorating. Girls will bring their male partner and naked cake to decorate and enter into 1 of 6 categories. The cakes will be judged and prizes awarded. Cakes will be split into either the Daisy/Brownie or Junior/Cadette judging group. This is an event we have done for the past few years to raise money for the Financial assistance program in girl scouts. The girls are also asked to bring 1 cake decoration to share with everyone. The decorations will be put in the middle and the dads will have to go collect what they need to decorate the cakes. The frosting will be provided. The judging categories will be:
*Cutest Critter
*Fabulous Flowers
*Most Creative
*Best Garden scene
*Tallest cake
*Most Girl Scout spirit

This is not necessarily a troop event, so please tell your parents about it (or forward this email to them) and encourage them to sign up themselves if your whole troop will not be attending. Flyers will be available at the leader's meeting.

You will earn the eco-action IPA while rotating through 6 fun-filled stations such as: deforestation, oil spills, global warming, and overpopulation of deer. You will compete against other girl scouts to make the biggest, baddest, recycled sculpture ever! After that, get refueled with cookies and punch and have a great discussion about what we have learned.
