[leaders] Re: Incentives are here!!

Is there anyone who is going to be at Day Camp willing to pick up my troop's incentives and bring them to camp for me. I would really appreciate it.

Thank you,

Kim Kolenda

Subject: Incentives are here!!

Hi everyone,
The cookie incentives have FINALLY arrived!!  You can pick them up at Rockford United Methodist Church either July 2 from 8am-noon at the office where Susan Witte works, or July 6 from 6:30-8pm I will be in the Fellowship Hall.  If you cannot make either of those let Susan or I know & we will work something out with you.

Thanks!

[leaders] Cookie incentives

Hi everyone,

If you heard a rumor that the cookie incentives were delivered to us, that was NOT true.  We were delivered one box with about 20 incentives total in it.  According to Jerad at GS Council today we are not the only service unit who has not been delivered all of the incentives and he has been working on correcting this problem by completing our incentive order.

Like I have communicated with you, as soon as I receive them all I will send out an email with information as to how we will distribute them to your troops.  Thank you for your patience, my troop has been frustrated as well...

> You will have to create a profile and log in to view it. It only takes a minute. The following is taken from his Care Pages site and gives a run down on what happened. As of tonight (Saturday) Nick is stabilized, but still intubated. Your prayers are what is needed right now. Please keep Nick, Pat, Sandy, Ginger and their whole family in your thoughts and prayers.
>
> The week of June 7th, Nick complained of a sore throat, cough and runny nose. Had a strep test and that was negative. Nick felt better on Saturday By Monday, Nick was running a fever and developed left leg pain that night. He was seen by his doctor on Tuesday and sent into the ER for tests and then was sent home. Wednesday, June 9th, his pediatrician called and said they had found bacteria in Nick's blood and Nick was admitted into DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI, for bacteremia.
> Thursday Nick's condition continued to deteriorate. High fevers, headaches, and left leg pain. He was moved into the Pediatric ICU Thursday. Nick had labored breathing (due to lots of fluid in his lungs) and low blood pressure and fever after fever. The afternoon led to what seemed like Nick doing "pretty good". He was laughing and joking and watching movies Thursday evening.
>
> During the early morning hours Friday, however, his condition changed rapidly. Within a few hours he went from "holding his own" to having to be intubated and several more IV's put in to deliver more medication. Nick's blood pressure kept dropping as he became septic. The bacteria was dying off and leaving his blood stream and flooding into his body. Nick is sedated (so he will not remember this after he has recovered)and on a ventilator. PRAY! Right now, with his condition, he cannot have adolescent visitors. He is in the ICU and until he gets more stable, visitation is limited to family and adults.
>
> Use this website as a way to relay your care and concern to Nick and his family. Nick is a strong, independent, handsome 13 year old who just finished his 7th grade year. Nick's hobbies include snowboarding, football, soccer, gaming and hanging out with friends. Nick lives in Rockford with his Mom Sandy, his Dad Pat, his sister Ginger, and their dog, Sparky. His plans for the summer include boating and tubing, riding go-carts, football camp(s), Springhill Camp, hanging with friends and catching up with cousins in Mt. Pleasant.

[leaders] Daycamp needs HELP July 12-15th

After making unit assignments for this years Daycamp we are short 7 adults...if you aren't already helping with daycamp would you please consider it?  Daycamp is @ Camp Rockford, July 12-15th 9a-3p. I've got 2 volunteers who don't even have daughters attending (Bless their generosity!) I'm always amazed at our neighborhood's dedication to Girl Scouts!

PLEASE, please pass this along to your troop parents...they can still get their daughters into a FULL daycamp if they can help us out! We also still have room in the boys unit (if daycare is needed for >4yrs & potty-trained boys)

Please contact me ASAP if you are able to help! Thanks VERY much!
