Leaders,
I wanted to update you on some upcoming events.
Daisy Plush Pals
I decided not to try and reschedule as it was just too hectic. The event is still April 20 at Parkside Elem, Room 111 (note new room) from 4:30 - 6 pm. Cost is $12. While the Butterfly Bears will be unavailable due to delay in shipping, Tina Zachow has offered us three other adorable stuffed animals: Monkey, Unicorn, or Vanilla Bear and will have pink or white t-shirts for the animals at no extra cost. Please see the www.rockfordgs.com website for the new flyer with the new pictures. Registration deadline is April 11.
Brownie Make It, Eat It
Event is still on Monday April 18 at Our Lady of Consolation from 6 - 8 pm. Cost is only $4. Brownies will earn the Make It, eat It Try-it and the Senior Girl Scouts will complete their Sow What Journey book on their path to the Gold Award. Registration deadline is April 11. Please make sure to let us know about any food allergies.
Junior Art to Wear Badge
Event is on Tuesday May 10 at the Rockford Freshman Center Cafeteria from 6 - 8 pm. Junior Cost is $5 and girls will earn their Art to Wear Badge. Girls should also bring a plain white t-shirt that they can be altered (cut, dyed, stenciled). A boys or mans undershirt is great! Registration deadline is May 2.
For all events, please bring donations of socks and underwear for the North Kent Service Center.
If your Daisy troop really wanted the Butterfly Bears, or any troop wants a fun and easy event, Tina Sachow is the workshop leader. She is a Girl Scout Leader from Cedar Springs and is super nice. Here is her contact information. She will come to your troop.

Greetings,
Last year our policy for troops with late parents was that the troop did not keep the proceeds for those boxes. That policy is changed this year back to troops will receive all proceeds up front- even on boxes for which there is a balance owed by a parent. The troop leader still needs to fill out an outstanding money report for the full amount owed. But it will be better for the troops who will have all their proceeds, regardless if a parent is late.
I was just able to change this the other day- so there are 2 pieces of information that went out in delivery packets with last year's policy on them. This was the 'outstanding money report' and 'the care and handling of Girl Scout Money'. I've included the updated pieces in an attachment- the only difference is I took the writing regarding troops not keeping their proceeds off. If you are able to make leaders aware at delivery in the change. This will also make payment time smoother since we will not have to take extra time to reconfigure troop proceeds.
Thank-you everyone!- I hope your delivery goes smoothly this week and please give me a call if you have any questions.

Sorry for the late notice…
I have booked the room in the back of the Krause Library in downtown Rockford for this Friday, March 25th, from 3 pm until 9 pm. Bring your sewing machine with thread and scissors to help us sew this quilt top. If you don’t want to sew, we will need someone to do other things. Come for a short time or the whole time.
We will have drinks. If you would like a snack, please bring that. We will be getting pizza for dinner.
If you can come, please let me know.
If you have any question, please contact Jane or Nedra.
Thanks,
Jane
