[leaders] Newest Day Camp Update

Leaders,

Things are looking up.  We are finally listed on the Council Website and they put a blast on Facebook yesterday about  our  camp.  There are some changes so please keep reading!

Holidays include:
• Halloween (United States)
• Carnival (Brazil)
• Hinamatsuri  Doll Festival (Japan)
• Bastille Day (France)

Dates: July 11th -14th    Time: 9am-3pm
Where: Camp Rockford on Rector Rd in Rockford (off of Summit between 12 & 13 mile road)

Here's the link to council.  http://www.gsmists.org/_webapp_3970426/World_Traditions_-_Rockford_Day_Camp

However, you really cannot register on line at this point.  There will be a link to "register online."  Click it to get the forms.  You must print the forms and fill them in.  Take them to council or Fax them at 784-8187.

VERY IMPORTANT:  NEW FOR VOLUNTEERS:  If you are signed up as an adult volunteer for daycamp, you do need to register your daughter with Council.  This is new this year.  Your daughter is guaranteed a spot in camp and please also sign up to volunteer online at http://www.rockfordgs.com/webforms/day_camp.php

We have openings for girls.  Very few 4th, 5th, & 6th graders are signed up.  If your troop is in this range, please send out the info to register.  Please send it for younger girls as well, of course.

Still could use some aides - girls going into 7th grade and up.  They can get trained at camp.  They need to signup on our website http://www.rockfordgs.com/webforms/day_camp.php
Jane and Nedra are coordinating the aide training and signup (thanks Jane & Nedra).

Still need a nurse.  Only has to be 1st aid/CPR certified.

Still need adult volunteers.  Does not have to be a leader.  Could be a parent in your troop, a dad, a grand parent, college student, etc.

Need a Boys unit leader.

Thanks very much for your responses.
