Family Champion update May, 2012     Why Family Champion?  Did you know that Girl Scout families received over $48,000 in financial assistance from Council in last year so all girls who wanted to become Girl Scouts could do so?  That over 3,000 adult volunteers are trained, provided with   materials and supported so they can do the great jobs that they do. That we have five camp properties that our Girl Scouts use every year.  Family Champion helps support these programs.   Good Reasons to be a Family Champion!  1. Breaking News: Every dollar that you contribute from April 20 - September 30, 2012, will be matched dollar for dollar - to support Council programs through the Centennial Leadership Challenge! Your $5 becomes $10, $25 becomes $50, $100 becomes $200!   2. Your service unit receives 10% of the total it raises for girl programs.   3. You can make a difference in the life of a girl!     The Family Champion Campaign is GSMISTS' only 'internal' fundraising campaign and we depend on Girl Scout families, troops, service units and friends to help us reach our goal of $22,000 - an average of $2 per Girl Scout.    How to Give?   Go to Family Champion and click on your Service Unit number; drop your donation off at any Service Center or mail it to 3275 Walker NW,   Grand Rapids, MI 49544 Attn: Family Champion (please include your Service Unit number!)    Questions?  Call 616-784-3341 x 141. or email to mrobinson@gsmists.org     Thank you for your generosity!
