[Leaders] To: Leaders of Girls coming out of 5th grade and up

Hi everyone, hope you are all having a great summer.

If you are a leader of a troop with girls going into 6th grade and up, please read the following information.

We want to encourage our leaders and girls to stay with Girl Scouts into Middle and High School and, having been there myself,
I know how hard it is.  Kim Dyer is volunteering to come out and talk with us and I am looking forward to this.  She is a lot of fun to talk
with and is loaded with knowledge and ideas.

Kim Dyer, GSMISTS Volunteer Services Manager, would like to meet with
Rockford leaders whose girls just finished 5th grade and UP for the
purpose of sharing some FUN and INNOVATIVE ways to engage girls at the
middle /high school level and have exciting, girl led troop meetings.
Kim has much experience with middle and high school girls, most
recently when she had 14 troop members  from 6th grade to 12th grade
(ten graduated in 2008.) Come share a laugh and hear some good ideas.
Don't make a decision to NOT RETURN to GS in the fall until you take
part in this gathering!  Kim will have an informal 45 minute
presentation followed by a round table discussion held right here in
Rockford.

We'd like to select the best date when MOST of you could attend - please
indicate which of the dates below WOULD NOT WORK  for you (time would be an evening)
and I'll let you know asap the best date for most.

T July 31, Th Aug 2, M Aug 6, T Aug 7, or Th Aug 9.
