I was looking at the GS website (you may have gotten the same email), and ran across this announcement.  If you have any training you need, this would be a good opportunity to catch up.

From what I have seen, they are offering training while attending the Space Day at Camp Anna Behrens.  They provide adult supervision, so maybe you can recruit a parent or two to watch the girls while you take the training.

Sunday, April 17

1:00-3:00 p.m.

at Rockford Lanes in downtown Rockford

Girl Scouts of all ages: bring your dad, grandpa, uncle, big brother or other favorite dude and join the bowling fun.

Cost includes: bowling shoes, two hours of bowling and fun patch for the scout. Concessions will be open. Use Service Unit Event Registration form to sign-up. This can be a troop or individual event, so pass it along to your parents. Limit 100 bowlers.

Deadline: Register & pay by April 1

Cost: $11.00 per girl (includes patch)

$10.00 per adult

We are also celebrating Girl Scout Sunday at Assumption Parish in Belmont on March 6, at the 11:00am Mass.

We will be participating in the mass, taking up the gifts, greeting and distributing the bulletins.  If you, or someone in your troop, attends Assumption parish, please join us, we will be sitting together in a reserved Girl Scout section. If you have any questions, please let me know.

I wanted to share a few updates;

• Please make sure to enter the correct troop level into ebudde in the settings tab.  If your troop at a level that is eligible to opt out of incentives and your level says Daisy (for example) in the settings tab, you will not be able to opt out.
• Cookie pick-up is going to be March 23rd.  I will have a sign-up sheet at the February meeting.
• If you have not sent me your troop's completed Training Roster yet, please just bring me a copy at the February meeting.  I have only received copies from the following troops; 

           2314, 3365, 3770, 3020, 4001, 3384

 

• I have gone through all of my emails & do not think I have any outstanding questions or issues with anyone, if I do please email me again!!

Hi everyone, just wanted to remind you of our Thinking Day event coming up on March 5.Details below...

Girl Scouts World Thinking Day 2011
Saturday, March 5, 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Assumption School, Belmont

Travel around the world with your troop as they learn about their sister Girl Scouts without even leaving Michigan! This is an event geared towards our younger Girl Scouts (Daisies & Brownies) presented by older girl troops. The theme for World Thinking Day 2011 is: Girls worldwide say, "empowering girls will change our world". Countries featured at the event are: Lithuania, Yemen, Belgium, Italy, United Arab Emirates and France. In addition to the event cost, we will be collecting gently used or new children's books to promote literacy, which will be donated to North Kent Service Center. 

Cost: $8.00 per girl used or new children's book

Event includes: patch, snack, games, swaps and fun!

Register at www.rockfordgs.com, (look under Calendar/Service Unit Event Registration. Registration Forms and money will be sent to Kristi Neill, Registrar.) Registration Deadline: Wednesday, February 23
